Can I add a Betta with my setup?

Hi everyone,
I've read in this forum that people have had bettas in with swords, mollies, platies, and tetras. I have all of those in a 55 gallon community tank along with 3 common silver dollars. Do you think I can add a betta with the silver dollars? They are VERY docile and I have NEVER seen them go after any fish, including my cardinal tetras. Any opinions and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

It really depends on the betta's personality whether or not he'll tolerate tankmates.

I can see the black skirts nipping him. They need to be in groups of 6 to prevent aggression towards other fish.

Also, that pleco is going to grow to a little more than a foot in length. I would suggest moving it to at least a 100 gallon or taking it back before it overstocks your tank.

The Silver Dollars are about 3". They are very docile towards the other fish now, but we'll see once they get bigger. I think I'll stick to my community setup for the time being. Thanks everyone.

Maybe a few females would work better?
