Got my betta a 10gallon tank. Dosent move alot?

Why dosent my betta move alot? I got him a 10gallon tank. he just hides in the cave and only swims a little barely. What should i do?

What is the temp of the water? Does the tank have a heater?

Oh also, if you just put him in, he is probably still adjusting to his new home.

He will need to adjust, but bettas also require well-planted tanks to feel secure (espescially in large tanks). Swing by the craft store or dollar store and pick up a big bag of silk plants. They usually run well under $10. Decorate his tank with them and he will probably feel alot safer to go out and explore :)
