Kick the aeration up if possible. Meds can deplete the water of oxygen. Fingers crossed!

thanks for the help. i am hoping he pulls through. i finally got my water test kit!
the tank water was :
ph high- 7.4
ph low 7.2
ammon .25ppm
nitrate and nitrite were 0.

its a new tank so i understand ammonia may accumulate.

It will, but whether it should be there depends on whether you plan on cycling it or not. Since he is sick, change the water as often as needed to keep the ammonia below .25ppm. You can worry about cycling when your fish is well enough to handle it.

he's not in the tank lol. i have some neons doing the cycling for me. he'll stay out until he's all better and its cycled.

Well, watson just died a few minutes ago. he will be missed. i feel sad but i really feel like I did all that i could.

Aww bless him.... you definitely did! In all honesty, everything just sort of went to he|| in a handbasket for a while there with all of your fish falling ill. Well at least you're the wiser for it. Just focus on the other little guys now.
