My girls setups...

Ok, so I've had trouble getting the girls setup right and what not...here's my newest setups, let me know if you think they're good or could use more
Here's the 5gal which will house my two aquabid girls once they get here:

it still needs the divider to be put in, but right now I have another girl in there, she's helping me start the cycling process, plus I bet she likes all the room to herself now!

Here's the 10gal:

There's also one girl in there for now, doing the same thing. Until I get it completely setup, the other girls are in their store cups. Giving them salt baths and some bettafix to try and heal their fins up from the prior fighting... There's two betta bulbs in the tank that are starting to grow, one's already about 2 inches, how long do these take to grow? And I ordered some moss balls online, when they'll arrive, I don't know though. Do you think with all of this I can get the eight girls to get along, finally?

Looks great!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, 8 girls is way too many in a 10g.... I feel that five is pushing it..

I would say no more than 4.

I have7 girls in my 10 gal. Personally I would go with 5/6, but...I couldn't just pick either Lani or Circe. Both were sooo cute. 7 is probably not ideal...I wouldn't reccomend it.

My girls are doing well so far, though. I have 4 hiding spots and about 10 plants.

I don't know, I don't see a lot of plants in your tank. I'd reccomend at least one per girl. How many do you have, not counting the bulbs?

There's 7 plants in there now, I can add more, but everytime I look in stores, I can't find anything that would be low, its all taller stuff. I'm being picky lol I'll make sure I have some more before I put all the girls in again

If you can find some floating plants, get them!! They will be life savers for your girls.

how are you cycling without a filter?

Is a filter a necessity? Everything I've read on cycling never mentioned filters? I'll watch for the floating plants, I hadn't thought of that.
My girls LOVE those lanterns, they're always in them, they even figured out the top and bottom of the big one are hollow, I can't find them sometimes cause they're hiding in it!

and if you guys would be so kind as to point me in the right direction as far as filters go, I've never used one before, so I'm clueless.
