Fish Games :)

So another thread made me wonder...what "games" do your bettas play??

From what I've noticed only one of my boys, Rock'N'Rolla plays, he stares at the surface for a lil bit from about an inch down, then "jumps" at the surface. This of course makes some big bubbles, which he watches as they all pop. Then he repeats...

What odd habits do your boys display???

I have a girl that looks somewhat like a boy....
She;

-attacks the gravel
-attacks the glass
-attacks her reflection
-attacks her buddha decor
-attacks her food
-attacks her plants
-attacks my finger
-attacks finger on the outside of the glass
-evilly glares at people that aren't me (follows them with her eyes)
-swims after her tail that is too small for her to nip
-lets me pet her
-plays tag (xD)
-plays with a ping-pong ball

She has quite a personality.

Tango will follow my finger all over the front of the tank. He also plays the 'filter' game that I told ya'll about in the other thread. He comes up to me when I'm cleaning with the gravel vac and just generally gets in the way. I think it amuses him that I have to go 'Scoot! Scoot!'. He chases the Corys and flares at himself a lot.

It's not really a game but, he learned from the Cory cats that there's food on the bottom of the tank and other places. So he follows them slowly, cruising, and after they've gone over a plant or an area, he will do the same, inspecting and nibbling. He almost turns himself upside down in order to inspect gaps in the gravel. I've said it before but, he thinks he's a catfish.

I've noticed that whenever Sir Ellis sees water droplets rolling down the outside of his bowl, he will closely follow them. I dunno if he thinks they're alive or what, but it's cute. And sometimes he will stare at me and open his mouth wide for some reason.

Oh Vaygirl, I have a female that does that too! Tippy had been doing it since she was in the petstore, I don't know where she learned it from. Cute thing is, Gloria has caught on and follows her around the bottom too!

Colt McCoy Fish loves bubbles! He reminds me of the fish in Finding Nemo. When the water comes out of the filter and back into the tank it makes some bubbles, and he loves to dart back and forth through the bubbles! Sometimes he'll hide behind the filter and then dart out through the bubbles - it's like he's launching a surprise attack on the bubbles!

I'll point at Cinder and he'll swim away and pretend to ignore me... during this time I'll move my finger around the front glass of the tank. He'll go behind his plants... then RUSH the glass with a big flare until I hide my finger. He'll then blow a bubble and want to do it again (he'll look for where I've hidden my hand, too!)

LOL they're awesome, Rock'N'Rolla is the attention hog, he's the only one of my fish that seems to want to play with the camera when the flash goes off, he swims right up to see what it is and then searches for it when it leaves! I think he has model in his blood or something...haha

My big boy loves to play chase the Cories. He'll hide out in his cave and leafs until they swim by and then Zoom......
He never nips at them (luckily) but loves the chase.

I have two other guys who love to dance when I'm at the front of the tank.

My female does the open mouth snap and jumps out of the water when it's feeding time.
