Lulu before and after

There was a before and after post up the other day but i can't find it now- bah- anyhow's here is one of my oldest pics of Lulu right after I moved her to the big tank- and another of her today- you can see the looong tail spikes which only appeared after she started eating the tropical community flakes my friend left for his mollie that lived with her for a while- so i don't know if it was the food or the sudden tank mate that caused this- maybe both?

her petstore tub was marked as regular veil tail female- and she looked like that right up until she got her tank mate -then within a couple weeks she grew these crazy spikes- they're also on the other fins but not as pronounced- i like it- but it's such a big change and i wasn't expecting it O_o

she was really young when i got her- but then she was in a critter tote- then a one gallon for a few months- then i moved her to the 3 gallon- and she got to be full sized before the tank mate- she hasn't actually grown since then- just now she has these paired spikes- it's bizarre- but i do really think it was the food- she would gobble up those flakes and became a little overfed since the mollie needed food twice a day
