Watson is getting worst and I still don't know what's wrong

He now has graying everything the end of his body is turning whiteish. he looks horrible. the guy at the pet store said that I have to treat them all in the tank but its still working on cycling. what can i do, the antibiodics he gave me are not made to dose small containers, but can I really risk puting him in danger of the ammonia levels if he goes in they will go up and the tank isn't really ready for that. I don't want to lose him but I am very torn.

here's the latest pics. this white patch just showed up.

You can dilute powder antibiotics with water in order to measure out doses. It will not affect the strength of the antibiotic.

That looks like columnaris... If your antibiotics happen to be Maracyn & Maracyn 2, or even just Maracyn you are on the right track.

Get Maracyn 1 and dose them together. LFS ppl are idiots... they sold you the wrong medication.

Basically how it goes is this: Maracyn will treat columnaris, while Maracyn 2 does not specifically treat columnaris but prevents secondary infections that can set in when the immune system is already under strain.

If you can get original Maracyn to combine witht the Maracyn 2 that is your best bet.

Sorry for all the stress and confusion... I lost a pygmy cory to columnaris and even though I wasn't sucessful in treating him I sure learned alot about treating bacterial infections.

PS. Definitely columnaris. It's an external bacterial infection (gram positive).

Yeah definitely worth keeping up. It will prevent secondary infection and allow for the immune system to 'focus' on the columnaris. Just grab some Maracyn asap.

Okay, well I put him in with the diluted stuff now... cross your fingers that he gets at least a little more alive looking.

Well, Shiloh has been in the tank with the antibiotics now and he seems way better already (he had the bacteria red streaky stuff)...
Hopefully Watson will get better soon too.
Twilight still is lethargic but otherwise seems fine so far.

Good luck. I'm crossing my fingers for you and Watson.
