So well here is my set up.

Looking down. I still am going to tinker with the top. I might make an all clear mesh lid because then I can make a feeding door for each side. though the plastic helps keep head in... idk

They really don't flare or try to get at each other. Though Kristoph did flare a few times his calmed down. I think now that he has more room and there is a filter his happier. And I haven't noticed any new tail damage since I've put him on a sleeping schedual. YAY!

Jasper is super mellow, and tiny. He hasn't really been eating but everyday is a little bit more and more. I think his going to enjoy his new home greatly.

Yes its a 10g, the plants are a mixture of silk betta plants from petco and plastic and I fixed the lid today. Trimmed and sanded it still it fit smoothly in the groove for the tank hood, and I made a new plastic mesh top that each side opens separately.
Also took the protective film off so its clear plastic. It looks much nicer now.

I love your tank. I really like how your divider is not a straight line. Funny you mentioned a sleep schedule. I was up late and I swear my betta was giving me the evil eye to turn the lights off.
