Lightbulb The Future....(:

I'm looking wayyy ahead to the future and for Christmas I'm getting a 10g for my father's house, where my Betta is.

I'm looking for inhabitants to join him before any of this happens. If you have any suggestions, please voice them.

I'd like 5-6 Cories and some Black Skirt Tetras. Too much with one Male Betta?

Thanks,
Charlie

The cories should be fine, I wouldn't put anything else in there besides them though.

I'd just like some other small mid/top dwelling fish to go along with the cories. \
Not one with color, though because I don't want to take away from my Betta.

I would think that putting more in there would start over-populating the tank.

Well, I guess I should state that the substrate will be sand as well.
Will that be okay for a Betta?
I'm going to stick to my boy and 6 Cories.
Thanks everyone.

Sand is great for the Cories! It won't bother your betta in the least, and I think it looks better than gravel.

Have fun with the Cories! They seem like such characters! I've wanted some, but I have no room in my 10 gal.
