Some giants have delicate digestions. Good quality food is important, like New Lifw Spectrum Betta pellets or Omega One Betta Buffet. Frozen bloodworms or frozen brine shripmp for occasional variety. And occasional frozen Daphnia for roughage.
They eat a lot more than standard-size Betta, but be careful not to overfeed. This is a judgement call. Feed less, more often.
They put out a lot of ammonia. So minimum 5g tank, cycled and (if you can) planted. Weekly 50% water changes to remove dissolved waste and replace minerals.
Other than that, they're the same.
