I'm not a fish expert or anything, but I do know that bettas and goldfish don't do well in the same tanks. Goldfish are cold water fish, bettas are tropical fish. Could you please answer the following questions so the real experts can help you better? Thanks!

Housing
What size is your tank?
What temperature is your tank?
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
How often do you feed your betta fish?

Maintenance

How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?

55gal temps at like 73..yes its heated..yes my tanks has 2 filters..no no airstones at the moment...the goldfish are in there cuz i can't get rid of them right now and flushing them down the toilet alive i would consider to be inhuman....i perform water cahnges about once aweek..i take it down to about half...no additives.....i can't help but think hes gotten a little bit duller "MAYBE"...he still swims like all over and hes not so much aggressive anymore..i noticed the bubbly stuff today...and the white stuff on the Gfish day or so after i got it....i treated my fish with something that was supposed to kill protozoan parasites and ich.....i'm not sure of the rest i just bought it from meijers almost a week ago now be a week monday

Bettas need temperature of at least 76 degrees minimum, I think he's a bit cold... I would take the betta out of there if I were you.

Do you have a container you can put him in? Anything a gallon or bigger will work, at least till you can buy a Critter Keeper or something. Do you use anything to take the chlorine out of the water? That could make him sick too.

I wasn't suggesting you flush your goldfish! :( Just letting you know they need to be separated!
