Loss of Color

Hey,

recently my beta was sick with a swollen swim bladder. That problem has since been fixed and Freddy is back to his usual active self. The thing thats happening now is that he has an extreme loss of colour. He was a vibrant blue b4 he was sick, now he's a dull blue his back fin is almost transparent and his lower fin is turning purple.... :/

Any ideas as to what i can do to enhance his colour and get it back to normal.

I feed him the colour enhancing flakes w/ the worms in it.....i have cut back on his food a LOT...could this be why his colour is so dull?

Anyways....any ideas are appreciated! :)

I would try feeding him pellets such as Hikari betta bio gold or Wardleys pellets.

Just offer him strictly pellets. He'll eat them if he's hungry enough. Maybe mix in a few pellets with his flakes.

bettas can be super stubborn, once they realize that pellets are all they are being offered, they will eventually eat them, however, mine was on the verge of death so i offered her flakes and she ate them no problem
