Talking to your fish

Do you? I do sometimes, when my husband isn't around :P

This morning I happened to catch eye of my CT who, after being moved from one room to another, destroyed his tail fin. Again.

I stood in front of his tank, crossed my arms and I said "How dare you do that to your fins again! Why would you do that! I am so angry at you." He stared at me defiantly. So I told him "You are a very bad fishy!" and he turned his head away from me and then swam away.

Really? lol So what do YOU talk to your fish about?

Sure doesn't everyone. I talk to the fish, play music for the fish, pet the fish.

Do fish grow faster with music, Rickey? ;)

I think the only time I ever talk to my fish is to let them know when they aren't allowed to die or when I'm mad at them.

I talk to my fish, usually when I'm by myself (if at college) or when close friends who know about my fish craziness, or when I'm at home. I usually just tell them they're handsome, silly, goofy, gluttons. The other times I talk to them are when I'm usually doing WCs since then they are both pain in the butts and I need to get my frustration with them out somehow, so talking to them works.

I chatter away to my fish. He flails around and then stares at me as if to say, "Please shut up. And by the way, feed me."

Much like my teenager. :\

I talk to mine all the time. I like to think he actually understands what I'm saying to him, and just deliberately disobeys me all the time. He's a bratty little thing, but I love him. He was chasing one of his new cory cat roommates around the other day and I yelled at him to stop it and had to flick the tank to make him quit. Little punk. xD
