Water Conditioner?

what does it take out?

i thought it takes out the nitrate , ammonia , etc,

but once the tank is cycled do i still need water conditioner?

Yes you need it every time you add water, it takes out the chlorine.

It removes chlorine, chloramines and heavy metals.

Some specialty water conditioners remove ammonia in the tap water (although it's not too common for ammonia to be present in city water).
