Also, for those of you who have the Tetra Cube, do you have any issue with the plastic getting scratched when you remove the gravel to clean it?

Ah, of course. I think I'm going to look for some kind of smooth rock-type substrate to minimize the chance of scratching.

I know you want a glass tank but I have a plastic 3 gallon: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=2752385 but it does come with a filter that I never used. x_x

or there is a 2.6 gallon glass tank I also have: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...AvailInUS%2FNo

I love both of them but never cared for the filters it comes with. ^^

I looked up that Pico tank, am thinking of getting it myself! But yeah, will need to make a cover, easy enough though. It's cheaper here: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...C15C=525485985
(sorry, long link I guess....) 39.99 with free shipping if you buy something else worth $10 lol...

You got me searching for over an hour looking for a hex 3 gallon glass, or other nice 3 gallons. No dice, but for the price, I like this one best. Not that I have any experience with it of course. Good reviews anyway.

I have a 4.2G for $34 and some heaters on clearance also. I have the 5.4G, they are very nice tanks

The truaqua tanks are low iron glass which translates to clearer glass (no green color). I just bought the 4.12 cube for $34. I also have the 5.4G in service as a Betta tank. The 4.12G is a bare (no filter, no heater) tank. They also sell a 50W heater for $14. I would also use a sponge filter, the one I have was $3. A sponge filter is ideal for Betta since there is virtually no current in the tank.

Thanks, guys! I decided to go with the Tetra Cube for now, to start off. After a year or so, depending on if I still like it or not, I'll probably upgrade to the Pico 3 gallon (or maybe larger!)

Still sad I couldn't find any good hexagonal tanks. Maybe in a year someone will invent them? Haha
