New 2.5g tank

Just picked up a used tank today I found off craigslist. It's a 2.5 gallon with LED light, a Red Sea nano filter, black gravel, ornament and plant - everything works - for $20 I cleaned it with hot water, scrubbed out the old algae, and added new decholorinated water, and I'm super-cycling the tank right now with a filter from my other 10 gallon tank.

For my 10g heated tank I do 10% water changes once a week and change the filter about once a month and my water is stable, clear and fish are happy. For my new 2.5g will I need to do anything differently?

Thanks. I'm going betta shopping tomorrow. Couldn't find any today that were up to my standards

You might want to do two 10% changes a week with the 2.5g. That is just me though. :)

Sounds great and don'tcha just LOVE craigslist!?! I got a 10g with everything but the heater and plants for 20 bucks!

Interesting. I thought I might have needed a heater for the tank. But apparently the LED light inside is so bright that it warms the tank water. It's been at a sustained 77 or 78* the past few days with the light only being on from 4 PM to 10 PM, and from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM. Sweet!
