Please help!!!!

I looked at Metallica's tank a half hour ago and he wasn't moving and I looked at his body and there is white fuz around his tail, body and head. I quickly put him into a small bowl and put salt into it and gave him some JFC. He's not looking good at all. He's sideways and will float upside down sometimes. Is there anything else I can do? I turned the lights off where he is so he's in darkness. I think he's in pain.

I don't have any heaters. I have him in warm water right now. When I get money I'm going to save up to get heaters for all of my tanks. When I first got my bettas the guy at Petco said that bettas didn't need heaters or filters so I never got them. I've had one for a year and a half and another a year and a couple months with no filter or heater and I didn't even use water conditioner until this September when I came to this website. I have NO idea how they're still alive.

*Update* I just checked on him and he's on the top barely moving, but still alive! He saw me and swam a little towards me. Hopefully he'll make it over night. :(

Thanks guys! I just looked at him a couple minutes ago and he's still breathing but he's on his side. :( My dad wants me to flush him, but I don't have the heart to do it. I'm hoping he'll pull through.

Poor guy!!!! I'm so sorry! PLEASE don't flush him. That is one of the worst ways for a fish to die. It kills them very very slowly.

Yeah I know. I will never flush my fish while they're still alive. It kills me that he might be in pain though. :(

There are ways to euthanize humanely but I could never bring myself to do it.
