Worried!!

Jasper is one messed up fish, he's happier then he's ever been despite his tail rotting away.
Since seeing all the wonderful surprises the syphon pulled up from the gravel friday, he's been prowling the bottom of the tank ever since in search of treasure *lol*. But I'm worried, his tail is literally rotting away, he doesn't seem to care. Maybe not having a long flowy tail helps him stay at the bottom longer, but he's a betta and although I like to see him happy I wanna see him healthy too!

I did my research and saw pictures of other betta's with fin rot, when the fin's re-grow it's clear. Jasper never got that clear re-growth.
Im medicating him with bettafix right now, should I ignore what it says on the bottle and medicate him till I have that clear re-growth...

Is there any other medication, or better medication that could help him...

Just really worried, theirs only but a little bit left of the tail, and the tips are turning brown.

I would try tetracycline. It treats bacterial fin rot.

Good luck, I'm on day 3 of using tetracycline for Master Betta. I might have to do it 2 times though.

im going this morning to check out the new fish store we have here and i'll pick up some food for him and that tetracycline, hope it works!
