Question Day 4 of Tetracycline, now what?

So today is day 4 of treating Master Betta with Tetracycline. Looks the like fin rot has stopped but not 100% sure, heís a small guy, lol. I donít see anything growing back but the red dots on the tip of his tail are gone as far as I can see. The medication made his water really brown so itís hard to tell. So where do I go form here? Should I do another 4 day treatment or give him all fresh water now?

Wish I could help. I'm bringing one of my bettas to the LFS tonight and will prolly be in the same boat as you. I've tried other meds. and they aren't working so my guess is that they'll give me antibiotics.

If I find out anything useful, I'll get back to you.

Good luck in the meantime.

I'd get him in some fresh water so you can see him better. If the fin rot really does appear to be gone, I'd go ahead and leave him in fresh water.

Just be sure to keep his tank very clean while he's healing. It's easy for fin rot to come back while the fins are trying to heal up. I wouldn't do another dose of TC unless you absolutely have to.

I agree with Yuuki. Put him in fresh water and be sure to do frequent water changes to help in healing.

So he does have some red on his tail still. So should I just do daily water changes or do more Tetracycline?
