There are a lot of great tanks on CL, but some people are wanting more money for their used tanks then a brand new one! The good deals get snatched up fast and are usually first come first served which really bugs me. But I have my 2 tanks now and I’m happy with them. I don’t think I could handle much more because of maintenance and room. And besides, I don’t want to end up being a crazy fish lady! Ha ha ha!

Hah no, leave the old fish lady stuff to me and Iheartmyfishies, we already decided location and amount of bettas, how many tanks and how big :D

i saw a 55g around my area for like 40 bucks.. but it doesn't hold water :( i still have my heart set on it for my lizard's new tank though. I just wish it held water so after I am finished with it for him I can use it for fishies. my dream tank is a 55g. :P

I call Bull Poop!

There is someone online selling a 5 gallon tank with screen hood and 40i whisper filter claiming they spend $100 on it.

I did a price check at Petsmart.com and this is what I came up with.

$8.99 screen top
$14.99 5 gallon tank
$32.99 filter

I get $56.97, only half of what they claim to have spent and that’s if they paid full price for everything. Do they really think we are that stupid? lol

They probably say $100 and hope someone will say how about $75 and they say, well...ok. Then after the sale is complete, they think boy was that person a sucker! I only paid $50 something for the whole setup.

LOL, sounds about right! But how stupid could you be to pay that much for a 5 gallon tank? Yeah the filter is nice, but really? Come on! I but you would spend about $35 if you bought everything brand new on sale.
