Hi everyone, I went to my LFS today to get some more brine shrimp eggs and I saw the bettas. They are regular veiltail but thats all they sell. I saw a red one in a bowl and he was so skinny I swear you could put a sheet of paper up against him and you couldn't tell the difference. I went to reach for the bowl and he jumped at my fingers thinking it was food I guess, then I noticed his dorsal fin had fin rot. Yall know me, I couldn't stand it, he's now at my home in a bowl waiting on a bigger home. Yes I fed him as soon as I got him home,(lol) and put some aquarium salt in his water.I didn't give him but a few bloodworms today cause I didn't want him to bloat but he ate like I have never sen one eat before. I wish you could call someone about situations like that. The owner said he had just fed them that morning (LIAR). Anyway I rescued one of them and my daughter rescued another. I will send pics when my camera recharges.
Well one of my rescues died this afternoon. That fish store is going to catch hell. I put Chance in a 30 gallon tank by himself and he is loving it, at least he is swimming around like crazy. I went and rescued two more today and there were two dead in there tanks, makes me so mad I could scream. At least the rest of the ones I rescued look like thay will make it. Osteen, the one I named that died was so skinny and weak I guess he couldn't eat. Well from all us betta owners I'm going to call someone and get them in trouble and then I'm going there to take Osteen back and give them a piece of my mind and I'm not going to be nice about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
