First, I'm brand new to this, so I don't know how equipment and stuff is supposed to work. And my tank does not yet have a fish.
I bought a filter (Tetra Whisper Internal Filter, 1-3gal). It's an air driven filter...and a third of my surface water is covered with bubbles. I know that the bubbles are from the air being pumped, and the cover of the filter holds those bubbles down causing them to spill over to the water before they can pop. If I hold up the cover, the bubbles pop before they spill over.
So...Is the filter supposed to make bubbles like that? The instructions don't say anything about bubbles. Should I keep the cover up so that the bubbles aren't on the surface water or are the bubbles okay on the water?
