Tank Mates for Master Betta?

After my 10 gallon is cycled I planned to add Master Betta with some friends, not sure what yet besides those cute African dwarf frogs and maybe some guppies. But this in my concern, since he has seen my new girl he has been acting all crazy. Tuns of energy, zig zag swimming, almost like her is sugar high. When he could see her he was going crazy trying to get to her. They can no longer see each other but his energy is still nuts. My question is, would be even be okay with other fish if he goes this nuts just from seeing one?

even when he calms down he may not do well with tank mates, some do well and it seems like most dont.
depends on the betta, so if you put frogs, snails, shrimp or other fish with him, be prepared to remove them if he attacks them or just harasses them. thats alotta stress.

no one fish cant have the whole ocean, but, certain fish need their own tank..........its a small space and they can get territorial. the only way to tell if he will be agressive is by putting something in with him.

I have cories in with my big monster betta.

He chases them around sometimes but never attacks. He's in a 5 gal. with plenty of hiding spots so that prolly has something to do with it too.
