Question Spots on Tail

I've been away from breeding bettas for 30 years, but I recently bought a tan male with with dark spots on the tail. Is that unusual? Is it worth breeding? I happen to have a tan female who looks ready to breed.

Welcome to the forum! I have an peachy, orangish male that has pink spots on his tail also. I think they call them dalmatians and there's nothing wrong with them, but I would post a picture of him just in case it's something else.
