Still, pet stores don't screen the buyers, they're concerned with making money, not the animal's best interest. If the dogs don't come from puppymills, then they come from BYB's, which can be just as bad.

I'm with you Elaina, I dont buy form any store that sells kittens or puppies. The store looks really cool until I saw that.

Yeah, I have a Local Store called Mr. PetMan and they have a really cool fish section but, the place is kinda weird. They have monkeys their! Isn't that illegal? Also, one time they had a wild fox for sale and he was in a really small cage and they sell cats. I think it is so wrong to have wild animals caged up in a store.

i used to have 2 foxes........some states i dont think their illegal.......nippy little biters!

Yeah, with exotic pets, the laws vary by region. In some places they are outright illegal, some places you need special certificates, etc.

I've always wanted a skunk, for example, but you're not allowed to keep them in Ontario. And in different provinces I don't think you're allowed to keep black and white skunks.

ya ive heard that about them too, but ive heard you can keep them here in some states, i used to want one too, get them spayed/neutered and deskunked and ive heard they are alot like cats
