Top update, I went to pick up the bettas today...

I have some good news and bad news.

Bad news:

While they still had my VT, the CT wasn't there. I guess something had happened to him, poor guy.

Good news:

They had JUST recieved a new shipment of bettas, and they had an amazing white marble DT! So I bought him instead. His marble patterns are a dark blue!

I also bought a 3.3 gallon critter keeper today, and I put my dropsy boy in it. I'll be heading out on Monday to get divider materials, so my new DT can share a tank with Renard. I need another tank to put my white VT/new VT in, but my aunt was NOT happy with the tank I bough today. So I don't know what will be happening there...

Both of the new fish are doing great. The DT is a bit shy, but the VT flares like crazy! He has already started a bubble nest in his breeding trap.

I'm sorry you didn't get the ct you wanted but I'm glad you found another one you like. The dt sounds beautiful!

The guy who was working yesterday was different than the employee who I had asked to hold my fish, so he didn't know about the CT. He didn't seem to know much about bettas, actually. He said my DT was a panda HM. Which was weird...

My VT flares constantly! I'm worried he might blow out his fins, so I'm going to cover part of his breeding trap with a garbage bag. But his bubble nest is huge when I went to check this morning! The DT started one as well.

My aunt just came in and give me a big lecture, so I'm not allowed to buy any more tanks...

I guess I'll have to split the 3.3 gallon critter keeper. 1.5 gallons each isn't really the best, I know, but there isn't much I can do about it now that my aunt says I can't buy anything else. At least all the boys will be out of the breeding traps at that point.

Okay, you have to post pictures!
As you said, 1.5 gallons isnt the greatest but at least he will be in good hands with good care, instead of him being sold to someone who wants a fish as a decoration and would keep him in something like this.
