just stopped moving

I have a plastic plant for my betta and he loves it. He is always swimming around it and hiding. But one day I found him lying there under it and didnt move and I started to freak out because my first betta died on the first day. So I got his net and went to pick him up. After I touched his face he started to move around again. Is this normal.

of course, mine will sleep on the leaves of hers when she isnt curled up next to the heater or thermometer

Oh yeah, mine will find the weirdest places to sleep. Some sleep underneath the plant, up against the divider, on the leaves, and I have a big flat rock in one tank and my fish LOVES it. He always sleeps on it.
