Well I did about 2 week Research before getting my Betta,and I thought when I went to petco that I would find just a couple Betta's on a table. To my surprise I ended up going to a new petco ,and as soon as I walked in they had the Betta's right in front of me they had every single type of petta you could think of the cups where nicly labeled,and colorful,they had a big variety of female bettas,I was quite surprised It still is sad seeing them in the cups they all looked so sad.
Mine looked sad,unitl I put him in his 1.5 gallon tank then he hypered,up I think he was the runt of the bunch,but the petco emplyees are very uneducated about bettas. The guy told me That i didnt need a heater,and that the betta fish are always lathergic.
Originally I was going to get neon tetras then betta fish came to mind,and I became interrested in them,and start researching them.
