I don't know how it happens, but I always seem to end up with picky eating Bettas.
Solace doesn't eat...pellets. I feed them pellets throughout the week, they get freeze-dried bloodworms as a treat once a week and then I fast them once a week.
The only time she eats is on treat day. So, she pretty much only eats freeze-dried bloodworms once a week.
I know this is not a healthy diet, but she just refuses the pellets. The only thing I can do is keep offering her the pellets, It's been almost 2 weeks now. I hope she gets a hint that this is all she is getting.
Oh, and they are Hikari Betta-Bio Gold pellets.

Maybe try mixing a pellet or two with her bloodworms.

I've heard you can get Frozen bloodworms and soak a pellet or two in the bloodworm juice. Yummm.... :P

I have a female that won't eat Bio-Gold pellets, so on pellet day she gets BettaMin

Blue Bonnet would not eat Bio gold so I bought her some Wardleys. She ate that then I got the brilliant idea of mixing the two. After that, she ate both with no problem.

you might want to try the flakes, mine wont eat pellets either, mine would only eat bloodworms too, so i stopped giving them to her and her only choices were flakes or pellets, she figured it out those were her only choices and now she gets flakes with bloodworms once a week

Wardleys I'm afraid is larger then the Bio-Gold and I don't think she could eat them. I don't think I'd try the flakes, way too messy.
I'm not going to buy anymore food though, I have 2 different kinds of pellets and bloodworms and that's too much food already. I might try pre-soaking the pellets, cutting them up smaller, or mixing them with the bloodworms. I just hope just gets that she isn't getting anything else so....eat up! :D

i know a betta enthusiast who only feeds his bettas one pellet per week. most people grossly overfeed their bettas. i think you should cut out her treats because one blood worm per week is enough for her to live off of.
