Help Please!!

I have a problem with one of my fish, Bolt. To make it easier I'll just start at the beginning.
I bought him at Walmart about 4 months ago with a female, his fins were torn and I thought I could help him become a beautiful fish again. I treated him in a gallon tank and they began to grow back so I decided to move him to a 10 gallon split tank about 2 months later. I had also gotten another betta, an orange male. I split the 10 gallon and put the orange male, Peaches, on one side and Bolt on the other. A few weeks later I came home and Peaches had jumped or found a way onto the other side of the tank and had beaten up Bolt quite badly. His fins were gone. So I moved Peaches into a different tank and moved my female into the other side, figuring this would be less stressful for Bolt. He began to grow his fins back somewhat but I made a stupid mistake and put plastic plants in his tank and once again he lost his fins. So Yesterday I bought a 2.5 gallon tank and this medicine called Bettafix. I set up the tank, put the medcine in had it sit for awhile and introduced Bolt to his new home. Sadly tho he's not taking to it =[ He's not moving at all, and when he does he looks like he's TRYING to swim but his front fins are clumped and he's going no where. He's turned kinda pale looking and his gills barely move.
I have no idea what to do!!!! I drained the tank more than half way and refilled figuring it might be the medicine but nothing >.<

Bettafix is one of the controversial medications. I've heard bad things about it. My little female jumped on my big females side and she almost tore my little girls fins off so I know how you're feeling. :( All you have to do is give them salt baths and my girls fins are growing back fast. You need to use aquarium salt, not regular house salt. Also, what's the temperature in the tank? Warmer water helps speed up the healing process.

He may be having a reaction to the Bettafix. Fish are like people and some are more sensitive to medicine than others.

Yeah I left for a few hours and came back and was watching him, it seems all his fins are really stiff, and he can't move them.

and the Temperature in his tank is about 75

I dont know how exactly. I took the heater from my 10 gal and put it in his tank but it turns on than when it feels the water is right turns off, so it sits at about 75

It's non adjustable, then?

Yeah. I got it at walmart for like $13 if that explains anything.. lol but the water was like 60 something before I put it in so it's helping some.

I had actually drained 3/4 of the water, poured new water in, drained 3/4 and poured new water in. I'm hoping that got rid of most of the medicine, he is moving a LITTLE more, he has to wiggle SO much to get to the surface =[ breaks my heart to watch.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I had no idea that the Bettafix was as controversial as it is. I've recently used it to treat a few suspected issues and my fish seemed not to mind it in the least.
