5 Gallon?

Hello! Would a male betta be happy in a 5 gallon aquarium? I've had one previously in a 1 gallon and it wasn't quite enough room for him.

Definitely. The key is to make sure it is densely planted. Too many people move their betta from a teeny, plant-crammed bowl into a decent tank and then go 'Oh-- he's freaking out because he doesn't like big spaces!'. Wrong--- the vegetation is nowhere near as dense as it was in the smaller tank.

So buy a pack of aquarium-safe plants form Home Depot and you'll be all set :)
