Anyone match decor to bettas color?

So I'm planning for my 20 gallon long tank which will be divided 8 times for my bettas :) I was wondering if a certain color of gravel would really make my bettas stand out. I have only ever used natural colored gravel. Would white work? What are your guy's opinions? The tank will be in a fairly dark room most of the day.. I'll post some pics of my fish if that will help. (These pics were taken several months ago, and the two with fin rot have amazingly recovered :)

Thanks!

I have some black rocks that I got at walmart that make their colors pop. White would be cool also. :)

BEAUTIFUL fish!!! I'm using black decor for my red & silver betta male (his fins are as red as the one in the 2nd picture). Bright Pink for my light pink/purple female. And green for my blue male

I've pretty much tried them all. I found that the low light tanks need light gravel to make the fish colors pop. I switched all of my 2.5 gal. tanks to white gravel bc the filter blocks out half the light one one side of the tank (Aqueon mini-bow sets).

The good news is that you can just keep changing it until you're happy :)

Thanks everyone! I think it's a tie between black and white. I'll most likely end up with white those since my room is pretty dark. Thanks! :) I can't wait for my new tank!!
