HELP! Pacing?

hi there,
i've had my betta for almost 2 weeks now, and he's seemed very happy. he's in a two gallon bowl, the temperature is sliiiiiightly lower than it should be, but not by much at all, he has a nice big plant, clean water, and has made a bubble nest BUT:

he seems bored ALL THE TIME.
and i think he's even pacing now. what do i do? is there too much light maybe? should i test the water?

i'm really scared.

also, i dunno if this is normal, but he always rubs his head on the glass of the bowl as if he's trying to get out???

sounds to me like hes a happy betta ;) dont worry all bettas "rub" there heads against the glass wen they see there owner or are excited.

but what about the pacing? i'm so nervous. sometimes he paces up and down, too. i feel like i'm doing something really wrong!

Mine do that too. I think they see their reflection in the glass and thats why they do that.

Don't worry about it. He's a smart betta, he know who feeds him, so he gets excited when he sees you. And he might see his reflection which would also make him excited.

My fish always do that when they see me, but I figure it's the equivalent of a fishy hand wave.

Where in Canada are you? I can give you more plants for him if you're in BC.
