I wish! Our Petco/Petsmart/Walmart bettas all look the same, not taken care of! Its so sad! And they all use blue water so it is close to impossible to decide just what color you are getting.

If you're looking for a particular color, you could try leaving your phone number with the store and ask them to call you should they get what you're looking for. What store wouldn't jump at a sure-fire sale that way?

The walmart near me has SO many orange bettas!! I have one. :) He's so cute, and VERY bright orange. They once had 6 orange ones!

Good luck with your search!

Yea. We call almost every day, but have never left our number. I will definately try that. They always have all white females at my Petsmart and Petco. We have a blue/red crowntail that was a walmart rescue. He is our first in a few years. Its nice to have them again. But we have been thinking about breeding him, any color/type suggestions?

My Julian isn't as orange as I wanted, he's more of a burnt orange.

The member who posted a picture of his orange one in the betta pictures thread has THE most gorgeous fish I have seen. I would love to have him!

Occasionally I see an orange one at Petsmart here, but usually it's all blues and reds. However, there's an Orange pair for sale on Aquabid right now, male and female!

Our petsmart always has red and blues and an occasional teal green color. Besides walmart and petco, no where else sells bettas.
