None of my 1 gallons are heated but my room stays pretty warm. 3 of my 1.5 and 2.5 gallon critter keepers are heated.

What a great story. Thanks for taking care of a betta that surely would have been passed by and left to die in the cups.

I am so glad you got him! It warms my heart :)
Can't wait to see what he looks like in a couple of weeks, he has an interesting colour.

Nothing like witnessing a betta rescue to put you in the Christmas spirit!

Thanks everyone! Sorry that I haven't updated the thread in a few days, over the weekends I don't get on the internet much... Anyways, little Bowser is doing GREAT he got a little plant (ok big plant) that he likes to hide in, probably makes him feel better than just being out in the open. He's eating fine (still has to figure out my hand means food) and his color is already starting to brighten. He's very, very pink with a clearish white color starting partways down his anal fin... I think he might be a butterfly pattern, but it's hard to tell right now! I'm annoying the crap out of my stepdad to get my plexiglass to make dividers, only now I need 5 sections instead of 4 but that's ok. Sorry for the novel here, just wanted to say how he was doing!
And kstiles, I don't think his nose will grow back :[ but that's ok that's what makes him special to me, and he seems to get along fine without one.
