I just went to walmart. :( You all can probably see where this is going, no, I didn't get another fish, but I saw some fish....dead fish, and two sick female bettas... they were alive, one didn't look too bad, but the other looked like if she stays in that water, she won't make it for much longer. I just KNOW I could save her with some clean water and salt, but I don't want to pay full price because that's just supporting such a cruel business.. and my brother didn't want to bother talking to the manager or someone like that. AND I'm going away for four days soon so I probably wouldn't be able to get her anyway. This little girl is just pulling at my heart strings... I don't know what to do.... I just CAN'T leave her there.. who would I talk to if I wanted to try and get her for free? If stealing wasn't wrong, I'd have stolen her.... but, I'm not a thief.

Well, have a Merry Christmas everyone, unfortunately, I'm going to be thinking about this little girl the whole time. I just can't get her little pleading eyes out of my head.

I don't know what to tell you as far as getting her free goes, unless you talk to the manager and they let you have her for free. I think I would go ahead and get her. She'll be fine the 4 days you are gone. At least she'll be in clean water.

That's just horrible! I would ask to talk to the manager if she's still there when you come back. I personally would've bought her right away, than complained later. I wouldn't have been able to walk away. Merry Christmas to you too.

She has bad velvet. :( I'll see if someone can take me back... I HAVE room for her once I get more girls for the sorority.

If she has velvet, point out that no one will buy such a sick fish but that you'll take it if they'll give it to you.

Oh, I hope you can get her. I just begged like a little kid and was about to cry for the boy I just got. Fingers crossed, hope she will be yours!!

I've never seen a healthy betta at our Wal-Mart (let alone healthy fish in general) and our Petsmart is looking pretty bad too. I got lucky with Harold, he was one of the few that looked even half way healthy. Pretty sad.
