Hopefully this is in the right board...
1. How long is brine shrimp good for after it's been thawed? It was put in the refrigerator after thawing and has been in there a couple of days.
2. In the divided ten gallon, the two sections furthest away from the filter outflow are developing a scum on top. The bettas don't seem to mind at all, and one even has a small thick bubblenest built. I can actually run the net across the top and "fold" the scum and it comes off when I scoop it, but I can't get all of it. It is white when it's scooped together and there are also little white things on the water. The scum in the other section almost looked like an oil sheen. What is this stuff and should I be worried about it? Like I said, the two bettas in those sections are just fine and dandy.
