Angry I"m soooo mad!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning and found Chanel on Candi's side. I hurried up and put her back on her side thinking that she just did it when I got the food out because sometimes they'll jump because they're excited. I went to check them both and Chanel has almost no fins left and Candi's lower fin is split! Candi is three times the size of Chanel so they must've been going at it all night! What should I do? I'm going to be giving them salt bathes as soon as the salt dissolves. Should I separate them or put the water level down a lot? Ugh, I'm so upset right now!

I would do the salt baths and lower the water level and try to figure out how they got through the divider.

I think it was my fault because when I did their water change yesterday, I filled the water up a lot not thinking, so I think Chanel just jumped over. I lowered the water level a lot and they're both so sad. I feel horrible!

They'll be ok, don't feel bad. These things happen sometimes.

What do you mean you filled the tank too much is there a amount you have to stop at when you divide a tank ?

You don't want to fill it enough for the fish to jump over the divider.

Yeah, females are known for jumping because they're so small, but males do it too.

That happened to me once too! Last June I came home from school and I found Berry, my female, on Fishys side, laying in the corner. Ib quickly got her put into her own side again and she was looking bad, her fins were so torn, it looked terrible! But now she has beautifully healed purle and blue fins, and she looks better than ever now!
