So i've had my betta since about 2007 so he's about 2 years old and since maybe around march he started to act a little differently than usual. and lately it's been getting worse and worse. So here are his symptoms:
1. He lays down on his side at the bottom of the tank
2. Sometimes he stands straight up at the bottom, corner of the tank
3. it seems like where his head is, it is heavy like he can pick himself up
4. by his end part his scales are dark, like dirt
5. his fins on his head seem to be a little raised or swollen
his eyes though look normal, his blue but where it is black (corneas) i did look under a light they do have a red tint to it.
His color is about the same as when i got him he is pale pink. i thought his was albino at first but then i saw his eye colors...
and he doesn't really eat and i really don't see poop.
i think i made a few mistakes though the first year i got him i kept him in a small tank about a palm and half length and a palm width. but then when i came home from school i put him in a 5 gallon tank but he got used to that and would swim around, and ever since he hasn't been able to go to the top anymore i recently, yesterday, put him in a smaller tank than his original one so that itd be easier for him to get to the top for air and food.
I don't know what to do now im really conscerned. He's a real fighter though. is there any medicine i can get for him? should i get one of those food tablets to keep in the bottom? or is this just the end for him. i just don't like seeing him like this it looks like he's suffering and idont want him going through this...please help
