Ami doesn't like new tank

I just put Ami in her new 1g tank. I put her in there probably 10-15 minutes ago. She has her fins clamped and is occasionally darting around the tank. That is out the ordinary for her. She is a calm fish and earlier today she was blowing bubbles.

The tank does have one of those plastic glow in the dark plants (actually very soft), a few plastic pebbles. I don't know why she isn't happy....

Now she is keeping her fins spread out, but every time she swims through the plant and it touches her side. She freaks and starts darting. She has never had anything else other than gravel in a tank with her.

I would try taking the plant out. She acts like she doesn't like it.

Yeah, I agree. Is it a silk plant?

Its a plastic plant, surprisingly soft plastic. This morning she seems a little more used to it, I saw her swimming between two of the branches. I'd feel really bad taking it out, it was a gift from my mom for Christmas. Hopefully she'll like it better today.

I just took the plant out because her Caudal Fin has two huge rips in it. But more than that, because she was starting to kind of scrunch her body up which is what she did when she was sick. Also she seems to be a weak swimmer today.
I'll let her adjust to the bigger tank and try to the plant again.

I just realized that the base of the plant is knobs so you can move around the plant branches...I'm real observant. When she settles into the tank better and her fins heal up more I will take out one of the big branches so she can swim through it without touching it, and add it to the tank again.

I would run pantyhose over it and if it rips the pantyhose, it'll rip up your fish.

I ran tights over it just now (I don't have pantyhose) and it didn't hurt them. But I know pantyhose are a lot thinner
