So, it's summer where i live, and it gets pretty hot.
I don't have the heater on at all, but for some reason - even after adding cold water and sticking ice cubes in to float around (Frank loves to push them around his tank and eat the bubbles that come out, haha) - his water always stays around the 82-85 degrees range, which i feel horrible for. i've kept his tank in the dark, kept the room as cool as i can without air conditioning (i feel his pain!) but it still stays too high. he's gotten back into his tailbiting habit from the stress (frank likes his water to be around 75 degrees), which sucks because they had JUST healed back.
i feel horrible and hate putting him through this :C
we figured it was the lid on his tank keeping the heat in, so we just removed it and are waiting for results.
any help would be great, i hate seeing him destroy his pretty fins all over again! :C
he's currently in a 3.5 gallon tank with no filtration at the moment (lacking funds/car, ack)
thank you in advanceeeee, i look like a horrible betta mummy D:
