RIP Sasuke

So whatever Sasuke'd been battling this past week finally did him in......he passed on just after I returned from a trip into town today. I feel horrible, like theres something else or something more I should have done to help him. He just had such a miserable death.....I didn't want him to have to go that way. And gosh darn it, I wish I could figure out what the heck he'd had.....

He'll always hold a special place in my heart, he was the first betta I ever had and I got him at the beginning, so he went though the learning process with me and had to be one of the toughest fish I'd ever seen. When I got him I knew nothing about bettas and had been surprised and fascinated when he attentively watched me go about my business....he was always one of my favorite fish.

When I first got him(don't worry, I had enough sense to think that bowl was way too small, but it came with him and he was only in there for a night before I put him in my 50 gallon):
