Question color question....

i got jaden a few weeks back (i hope you saw the pic) now that we moved and have settled a bit he is in a nice ten gal divided tank and seems to love the space... when i got him i noted that he had a little blue at the base of his fins... now that he is settled (and the girl next door is to - my daughters female) he looks like he changed a lot of his color- he is way more Blue now and the mix is wonderful (will post pix when we unpack the camera LOL).. i was wondering if the color change is normal as a Betta gets settled and does not have to live in those little cups or is it something else?
as most of you know i have had fish for a while but i am kinda new to Betta's...

Yes, color changes are normal. I had a female that was kind of a pearly white when I got her then she turned pink!

Yup that's normal. I have a marble DT and he was all different colors, pink and blue and after a couple months his fins are a bright turquoise and he doesn't have any pink left.

Lol, it's exactly the same with my betta Jack (in my avvie). I named him Jack Frost because he was initially a very pale iridescent blue. He's still iridescent, but his colors have intensified and more of the red on his fins has really started to show up.

yeah, when they're unhealthy they turn pale, but when they get put in better tanks and become healthier their colours usually get brighter.

Eolith, the betta in your picture looks exactly like Nibbler, exept nibblers fins a purple not blue. My fishy even has red tips and the same colour body
