So do you think it is a male or a female?????

So, question, now that I have one!!! Should it have company???
I know you can't put two males in a tank together, but can I put two females...and what about males & females, will they mate???

Only reason I was asking is that I was at the pet store the other day and there was this beautiful blue veil male that was just stunning!!!

You have a beautiful male. A 2 gallon is just big enough for him. The only way females can live together is in a 10 gallon or larger sorority tank with lots of hiding places. You have to have 4 or more females to spread out the aggression. Females will fight, too. If only 2 are kept together, one will dominate and bully the other to death. Males and females should only be housed together for breeding purposes only.

Certainly a male... and one that needs to have his tank all to himself. You can really only start playing around with adding in other fish once you upgrade to a 10 gallon tank or larger. ;)

Yup.. a very pretty Orange Dal VT.. male ;).

Like everyone said two gallons is really big enough for one fish but if you really want to have another pet in there you might add some ghost shrimp or a small species of snail.. DON'T get the mystery snails they sell at petstores.. they will grow way too big for a two gallon.
