Tetra In Tank Filter

Hey guys, it's been awhile!! I find I have to stay off here or I end up going out and buying new Bettas LOL... However I just had to replace my filter on my 10 gallon split tank and well teh currant is a bit strong I think..... Anyone know of anyway to make the currant of the filter not so strong?

What kind of filter is it? I have an idea but if you could put up a link it would help.

The easiest way is to take some pantyhose and cut them 3-4in from the toe.. take the piece and slide it over your filter to cover the intake... this reduces the flow AND keeps your betta's fins from getting sucked in. Also (depending on what kind of filter it is) you can cut a piece of plastic bottle to make a buffer.

oh yeah that is exactly what I have. Try putting the pantyhose over the intake first.. this should take care of your problem. If not you can cut a plastic bottle and hook it over the top so it buffers the flow.
