Where to get sand...
I know where to find play sand, but where can I purchase it in a small quantity? (about 5-6 pounds).
It's for my 5.5 gallon.

oh geez. lol. I certainly don't nee that much - even if converting my 10 gallon to sand.
but anyway, I left my 5.5 gallon at home since I don't have much room up here - so it looks like I won't be setting it up anyway! :-\
thanks though!

I'm sure if you got a larger bag you'd use it. When cleaning the tank - you are most likely going to take sand out unintentionally when trying to clean. So eventually you'll use the leftover.
