White dorsal fin!

My Jasper's dorsal fin is turning white.
These last couple day's I noticed the front part of my Jasper's dorsal fin is all white, the branches are white the in between part is clear, it's like when your fishy has fin rot and his tail is growing back but he did not bite off that part of his fin nor did it have fin rot.
But it is like it's rotting away.
I'm worried, what could this be...

Are there any other signs of illness besides this? look for

-lethargic?
-lesions?
-gasping for air more at the surface?
-not eating?
-bloated?
-strange coloring? (dull maybe?)
-loss of balance when swimming?

Well he does seem a bit down then usual, I haven't really had the time to spend with him lately that's y I'm buying him a new buddy to flare at when I'm not there, plus before x-mas he had a mild case of swim bladder that looked to have scared him quite a bit.
At new years I fed him a little scare of brine shrimp and since he has a tendency to bloat I've been fasting him, I start feeding him again tomorrow.
And also in the mornings when I turn the light on in his tank, He's pinkish seethrough like, but he's back to normal in a few minutes so I think that's normal
Could it be that he's still recovering from that swim bladder episode...

But my main concern is the white fin...

I took some pics..could u tell me how to post them...

Hrm he seems to sound fine besides the fins which is good.

Oh! To post a photo you have to use the advanced post setting (which is besdie the submit reply button) Once you are there, you will see several icons on the text area. The paper clip is the one you want. Click that and it will allow you to choose to upload a file from you computer. Once you have done that click the paper clip icon again and choose the file you uploaded and it will attach to your message.

lol that's okay :)

Well it's a little hard to see...I am wondering is he white stuff a little fuzzy?

Could be a type of fin rot of some sort or bacterial infection, it's hard to say because it looks quite white.

I would suggest a salt bath, they are safe and can help prevent infections at least and can sometimes kill fungus or bacteria. Have you done a salt bath before?
