Pond Snails

Hey Everyone,

At what point to pond snails go from waste management to full blown pest?

Is there a point where there are too many pond snails pooping, causing adverse conditions?

My planted tank is still new, so there is a lot of extra debris and decaying plant matter. Should i let the pond snail population get really high to deal with it all, or should i nip it in the butt and get rid of them? i have also recently noticed a lot of new, what i assume is, pond snail eggs.

I also have trumpet snails which i would like to keep to aerate the soil and deal with waste.

Thoughts?

Well how big is your tank?

But in my NPT I like a lot of snails, the more the merrier, but my beloved Victoria prefers them as food so I went from 20 to 0 -.- in one night. She is so mean to me and snails.

So I keep finding eggs everywhere! Like tons of them... and I found two rams horns yesterday. Any suggestions dealing with the snail epidemic?

Well you could get an assassin snail, but hopefully he won't wipe them all out.

Or I could just send you my girl betta she seems to like to kill all my pond snails.
