How many ADF?

I'm thinking of all of my possibilities for my future ADFs :) So I was wondering how many I could have in a 5 gallon tank, along with a male betta. I was thinking 3.. what do you guys think?

One of my adf's got a crazy streak the other day. I heard a plop sound in the tank and I look up, and the frog was attached to the Betta's tail and he would not let go. I freaked out. I never had a problem with my adf's until the other day with my betta. He tore a hole in my bettas tail. I was pretty scared. Off topic kinda, but thought I'd share.

He probably mistook it for food. ADF's don't see very well. My frog will "attack" ghost shrimp if they are eating in front of him, but he's never attached himself to my betta.
