girl betta care?

So I've had nothing but boy bettas, but there was this ADORABLE little girl betta at PetSmart yesterday. I mean she was SUPER tiny, and I wanted so much to just scoop her up and hug her. So my question is, is female betta care any different than male care? How do you deal with eggs? I have no intention in breeding her. Thanks!

I had those same questions when I first got a female.lol They have SO much personality, it's not even funny! I feed my females a little less than my males because they're so small. The eggs will absorb in her and they won't hurt her. They are little jumpers, so make sure that you lower the water level a couple inches so she doesn't jump out.

Yep, like BettaxFishxCrazy said. I treat my males and females the same. Lani and Circe get one crushed pellet instead of two during feeding times, but the rest of my girls get two.

THey have a lot of personality. Even more than a few of my males!

and yeah, they do jump a lot. I think my fish, Gloria, was a bird in her past life.
All in all they're the same though, you shouldn't have any problems.

I love my girls. They have a lot of personality. I feed mine the same as my boys, except for Reina because she's so tiny.

thanks so much, I swear this girl looked some of the fry pics I've seen, she was just so tiny, and it seemed like she swam to me in the little cup and just stared. She was calling to me

Personally, i find girls to be even easier to take care of than males xD I've never had a problem with any of my girls (other than the occasional jumping incidents) :D... but I seem to always have tons of difficulty with my males Dx (and I don't know why either :/)

But girls are just adorable >v< defiantly recommend at least getting one :P (or two!)

Yeah, I've found that my girls are hardier than my boys. I've had...what...5 male die, I think? Whereas I've only had one female death, and that was random.

Oh yes, as everyone said they are so much more fiesty. Marina nibbles/attacks my fingers, she jumps like crazy, and she is very ADHD and hyper. A complete turn around from my boy who is laid back lol.
